Karthik grew up in India, and his approach to business was shaped early in his youth at the chessboard. As a Chess Master and National Chess Champion, he learned to look at problems holistically, distill complexity down to what is essential, anticipate several moves ahead, manage risk deliberately, and commit to decisions that define long-term trajectories.
His experience was forged through business and operating leadership roles, leading high-growth businesses and multi-billion-dollar AI and cloud deals for global corporations—including Amazon and Cognizant—across the US, Europe, and India. Additionally, his experience as an entrepreneur taught him to work within constraints and remain resourceful while solving complex problems.
A long-time student of the value-investing principles of Buffett and Munger, Karthik views every deal through the lens of durable competitive advantage and incentive alignment. He doesn’t just see a contract; he sees a capital allocation decision that must deliver a long-term return for all parties.
