Our Conviction

Our Conviction

AI has compressed the window to act, while the cost of misjudgment has never been higher. The most critical growth moments don’t fail for lack of ambition — they fail for lack of experienced, multidisciplinary leadership when high-stakes deals, extreme complexity, and compressed timelines converge.

In the AI age, this "perfect storm" is the new normal for CROs. Yet, 99% of businesses lack such experience in-house.

JKay Advisors was launched to democratize access to elite leadership and specialized expertise on-demand, helping CROs drive growth at scale.

Karthik grew up in India, and his approach to business was shaped early in his youth at the chessboard. As a Chess Master and National Chess Champion, he learned to look at problems holistically, distill complexity down to what is essential, anticipate several moves ahead, manage risk deliberately, and commit to decisions that define long-term trajectories.

His experience was forged through business and operating leadership roles, leading high-growth businesses and multi-billion-dollar AI and cloud deals for global corporations—including Amazon and Cognizant—across the US, Europe, and India. Additionally, his experience as an entrepreneur taught him to work within constraints and remain resourceful while solving complex problems.

A long-time student of the value-investing principles of Buffett and Munger, Karthik views every deal through the lens of durable competitive advantage and incentive alignment. He doesn’t just see a contract; he sees a capital allocation decision that must deliver a long-term return for all parties.

Accountability, Incubation, and Execution at Scale

Accountability, Incubation, and Execution at Scale

Jeff was raised in the American Midwest, where he embraced two core principles: do what you say you’re going to do, and commit to lifelong learning.

Jeff’s experience spans multiple disciplines: banking, capital allocation, strategic deals, Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and execution, people leadership, and organizational change. Throughout his career, he has consistently stepped into ambiguity—launching new initiatives, building teams from scratch, and solving complex problems.

At Cisco, he created the company’s first Strategic Deal Team, leading the firm’s most complex deals. Furthermore, he established the Software Specialist role to support the transformation toward software- and subscription-led growth that is repeatable at scale.

At Johnson Controls, Jeff helped lead the Digital Building initiative, transforming a legacy industrial business into a digitally driven, high-margin growth platform through AI, cloud, and ecosystem partnerships. Most recently at AWS, his work focused on scaling AI-led transformation by aligning commercial models and operating structures with customer and partner capabilities to deliver profitable growth at scale.
